Mike shares the secrets our clients are using in their veterinary practices to dramatically accelerate their growth, solve issues, and create significantly better experiences for their patients and colleagues.

Maximum Impact in Your Veterinary Practice this Quarter

Mike introduces you to the concept of Quadrant Two Activities or Rocks.  Rocks are the three to five critical goals or objectives that your practice MUST achieve in the next 90 days.

In this video, Mike discusses the eight operational areas of your veterinary practice from which most Rocks will originate and have the highest impact:

  • Production Capability
  • Prevention
  • Planning/ Clarity
  • Relationship Building
  • Recognizing New Opportunities
  • Lifelong Learning
  • Renewal
  • Values Clarification

After watching this video, you’ll be able to begin identifying the Rocks that your practice should be focusing on.

The most effective process to solve problems fast

The difference between a thriving veterinary practice and one that struggles can often come down to their ability to quickly identify issues or problems in the practice and address them.

Here, Mike teaches you the most consistently reliable and effective method to identifying the root cause of a problem, discussing that problem to arrive at a solution, and executing that solution within seven days.

Mastering this skill has been proven time and again to transform our clients’ businesses and generate results like they never thought possible.

Veterinary Practices must have Alignment at The Top

Trust is the foundation of any relationship.  Without it, conflict becomes destructive, commitment weakens, accountability suffers, and results are limited at best.

In this video, Mike introduces you to Patrick Lencioni’s Trust Pyramid which he first presented in his best selling book, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team.  Mike discusses the critical relationship that exists between the owner and the manager in a veterinary practice and provides some steps you can take to begin strengthening that relationship in your practice.

More effective meetings

How effective are your meetings?  How much of your time do you spend in meetings?  Most people hate meetings because they consist of a lot of discussion with no problem solving.

Here, Mike introduces a meeting format for The Daily Huddle to ensure that everyone in your veterinary practice is on the same page, rowing in the same direction, and oriented toward problem solving.

We also use a similar approach to standardizing the one (and only) weekly meeting in which your leadership team will participate.  The purpose of this 90 minute meeting is primarily focused on identifying and solving problems by assigning to-dos to team members that they are responsible for completing within seven days.

Practice Assessment

Our complimentary and confidential Practice Assessment will help us quickly help you identify your greatest areas of opportunity for growth.  The assessment focuses on six operational capacities: Personal, Relationships, Management, Systems & Processes, Leadership, and Marketplace.

Most people complete the assessment in eight minutes or less and we’ll review your assessment and contact you to discuss the results within 24 hours.

Meet Your Guide

Mike Johnson

By 2002, Mike had spent two decades establishing himself as a transformational leader in the industries of pharmaceutical sales, investment banking, and accounting.  He was well respected, had a strong reputation for driving measurable outcomes, and was widely regarded as the quintessential American success story.

That all changed on May 8th, 2002 when his close friend and career-long mentor, Jay Gulotta, tragically and shockingly took his own life.  Jay’s death triggered Mike to grapple with his own demons and gain the perspective that the professional reputation and financial success he had attained fell far short of that thing we all desire: happiness.  He quickly realized that his pursuit of professional success had come at the expense of his personal relationships and fulfillment.

It was time for a dramatic shift.

Mike courageously stepped away from his long-storied career to redirect his energy toward helping entrepreneurs sharpen their skills and strengthen their businesses to create workplaces that produce results and that people love!  Achieving this often requires Mike to serve as a warrior for the human spirit; overcoming cynicism, resisting mediocrity, and leveraging a unique blend of rigor and compassion to gently guide leadership teams toward achieving their vision while also establishing a more balanced life.
